Prom Queen

So another post about Topshop...sorry not sorry. I seen recently in store and online that they launched a Prom collection. I thought this was such a good idea as prom seems to be getting a lot bigger here in the UK. So much so in fact that Company Magazine has jumped on the bandwagon and have launched a Prom app. It is compatible with iPhones and iPads and can be downloaded for free here.

The app is packed full of styling tips, beauty suggestions, celeb  inspired looks and much more. It also features the lovely blogger from What Olivia Did seen in the above picture. It's a great little app and highly recommended if you do have an upcoming prom. It's making me wish I was in high school again for an excuse to buy a pretty dress.

I made a little moodboard for Prom inspiration and I pulled some outfits for different styles for Prom Night - hope you like it!

Couldn't resist throwing in some films with classic Prom scenes like my favourite, Pretty in Pink! Also Blair Waldrof's wedding dress to Chuck Bass was to DIE for, dream prom dress for sure.

I love these classic prom style dresses - very 1950's Mad Men-esque. The hot pink will help you to feel super lady-like which is what every girl should be at prom. The black dress is a much safer bet but the bright heels will help you to liven up the look. The jewellery for both works well as they look so much more expensive than just standard high street pieces.

Pretty pastels are a massive trend this season and would look really cute and fresh for prom. I think the mint dress with the pink printed heels looks really sophisticated. The pink lace number with lilac sandals feels very retro 60's and would look fab with a Bridget Bardot inspired half up hairstyle

There is seriously nothing cooler, and dare I say sexier than a woman wearing a suit or jumpsuit when everyone else is in ball gowns. This nude suit paired with a cream sheer shirt would look so chic. The statement girly necklace and heels helps to level out the masculine vibes. I am loving this jumpsuit its so 70's glam. Can totally imagine Amy Adams' character rocking this in American Hustle. The heels are in a contrasting jewel tone making for some great colour blocking.

Finally Company Magazine are encouraging you to post your prom looks - such a cute idea!

So I hope all your proms are more like Grease than they are like Carrie… Have a ball.
